Why not pay a visit and enjoy this unique testament and reminder of what running a high street studio entailed in those not-so-long-ago days before the advent of automatic cameras, one-hour photo shops and digital photography.
On display in the McCormack Photography Room are the contents of McCormack's landmark studio/shop at 2 Northgate Street, Athlone from 1948 to 2002, including items from the studios, dark rooms, finishing rooms, D&P line, cameras, enlargers, B&W and colour processing equipment are all on permanent display in a work like setting.
Also included are innumeral political portrait photographs, wedding photographs, old and rare cameras, memorabilia from bygone days. The most complete photographic studio museum in Ireland.
